Travis Hayley specifically recommends the TM Recoil shock M4. Do not expect recoil to be anything like a real firearm though.Īlso looked into this for awhile. The TM MWS are probably the best currently. The gas guns are temperamental and do break fairly often but are the closest you can get to real operation. The cheap airsoft electric guns are no where close to 1:1 size, the mags are offspec (shorter and wider), the receivers are off spec, the upper threads will not accept real rails, the buffer tubes are off spec. It is however not cost effective to use airsoft for training if you want anything close to what your real gun is.
#PEQ AIRSHOT ON REAL RIFLE MODS#
The think I like about the PTW’s is they are 1:1 sized, stop firing when empty, accepts real rails, accurate enough with very slight mods to hit hands at 50yards, very fast trigger response, easy to change the velocity (how hard it shoots) depending on the situation, take down close enough to a real one etc. The block 2 gets the most use out of the three both real and airsoft.

The rifles are set up as: 1) block II FSP 2) 11.5in sr15 3) old school 20in M16A2 I use a few systema ptw’s (very very expensive lol) built exactly like my real rifles. For the past 8 or so my airsoft guns have been exact clones of my real one. I’ve been in the game for around 15 years now. So I’m also late to the party here but I figured I’d interject my $0.02 since I’m fairly knowledgeable on the subject of Airsoft.
